To further our mission to save lives and reduce the impact of breast cancer through early detection, The Minister for Health has appointed three new members to our Board. This decision supports succession planning and addresses the future governance needs of our organisation.
Elisabet Wreme, BreastScreen Victoria’s Board Chair announced today that Katrina Enos, Louise Glanville, and Vicky Peters will join the Board on 1 February.
Katrina Enos has been a non-executive director for 15 years with diverse experience from disability sector not-for-profit organisations and corporate entities. Katrina has been on the Board of Down Syndrome Australia since 2017 and she’s also a former Board member of Downe Syndrome Victoria and the Cerebral Palsy Support Network.
Louise Glanville has extensive experience in strategy, legal governance, leadership, and financial management spanning public service at federal, state and local levels. Louise led the development of the Victorian plan and model for early detection of breast cancer in 1991. She also served as a director on the first BreastScreen Victoria Board. Complementing her extensive Board experience, Louise is currently Chief Executive Officer of Victoria Legal Aid a role she has held since 2018.
Vicky Peters was most recently Director of Indigenous Engagement at Swinburne University of Technology and a recipient of the Jo Fisher Future Board Scholarship 2024, which aims to bring diversity into boardrooms. Throughout her career in allied health and higher education services in rural and remote areas, Vicky has worked to achieve better health and wellbeing outcomes for First Nations people in Victorian and Australia. Notably, she is the first First Nations Board member.
Elisabet Wreme said: “I extend my heartfelt thanks to Katrina Enos, Louise Glanville, and Vicky Peters. I'm confident that each of you will bring invaluable skills and perspectives to the Board, enhancing the already wonderful work of BreastScreen Victoria.
