Consumer Network
BreastScreen Victoria is committed to ensuring that consumer voices inform our work, we do this by involving our Consumer Network in the planning and delivery of our service. This ensures that the diverse needs of our clients are met. Our Consumer Network is a committed group of people who support work at different levels of the organisation.
How can you get involved?
As a BreastScreen Consumer Network Member, we may invite you to:
- Promote the importance of screening in the community
- Support the development of information and support for clients
- Fill out surveys
- Share what it's like to have a breast screen
- Take part in workshops and focus groups
- Help with service design and planning
- Join a Project Board or a Committee in a representative role
Why get involved?
As a part of our Consumer Network, you will help us make sure the consumer's voice guides everything we do. You will work with BreastScreen staff and other members of the Consumer Network. Your participation is voluntary (unpaid), but you will get training and support. You can expect to make new connections and have opportunities to create change. With your help, we can deliver better BreastScreen services to eligible Victorians.
Time commitment
We will get in touch with you via email with opportunities to be involved. It is up to you what level of involvement you wish to pursue.
